So first I started off putting clay on my face like a so, and waited for it to dry most of the way 

(sorry its such a small picture x.x)

It tore next to the nose so I ended up adding more

By the time it dried I was pretty happy with the results ^^

                             

I made this more as a mold to make masks on so that's why I didn't cut out holes for the eyes.

Yay for masks! ^~^ Mim.

So this is the cute little terrarium (what a strange word x.x) I made out of a light bulb.

I hollowed out the light bulb, following this tutorial here .

Then I went outside and gathered some moss and dirt and put it in using a funnel. 

after that i added a little seashell that kinda looked like a pretty white flower and (using a skewer stick) got it to sit in the middle.

then I wrapped some wire around it and made it so it could hang in my kitchen ^^ (make sure you use strong wire or else you'll have shattered glass and dirt eeeevvveeerrrryyyywhhheeerr.)

First I made Gir from invader zim for my friend Anne.

Then I made pink kitten earrings >^~^<

Then I made a "wooden" ring for my dad.

...And one for myself 

Then I made donuts ^~^ yum~o!

I made my own polymer clay homemade following this recipe http://thejunkwave.com/2011/07/18/how-to-make-your-own-air-dried-porcelain-with-common-household-ingredients/

but instead of using glycerin and canola oil I used babyoil gel and vitamin E oil. Also I cooked it in the micro wave.

Two things about this if your going to make your own. 1: cook it till its mostly not sticky, even when its still a little sticky add baby oil to your hands when your rolling it into a ball. 2: Clean up. When I first made this it was a mess eeeevvveeerrryyyywhhheerrreee! but fortunately it comes off with dawn dish soap just be prepared to clean.

MicSmitty Refurbishes

Good Evening/Morning Dearies,

   Today I have been working on a number of refurbishing projects including a lamp shade, my desk and a small table. Since my brother moved out a couple weeks ago, leaving it to be just my mother and i in the house, we split up the rooms so that we were both able to have an extra room; mine for a Library/Art studio, and hers for a Quilting room. 

Anyways, some things really needed a change. So I decided everything needed a new paint job. I am working with these 5 colors, to create a gypsy wagon type effect. 

   

I had this lovely little wall lamp, but once upon a time I put a light bulb in that was a little too large and singed the shade.

My name is Jasmine, I'm 20 years old, and I'm an artist/crafter/eater of delicious foods. Writing is not one of my strongest points so doing a blog will be a bit difficult for me, But for the sake of the fans I will do my best. 

I'm the third oldest of 9 children and homeschooled till graduation. I was born in Florida, moved to Illinois for the next 12 years of my life till I was 14, then we moved to NY where I met the coolest girl in the world, (See above.)  I recently got married to a amazing man named Andres, and moved to Missouri far far away from my family and my awesome friend Michelle. We used to do so many artist things and have so many adventures so we decided to start this blog as a way to keep those things going. 

Anyways I'm sick of writing so, Im going to go make something!

MicSmitty makes renaissance faire shoes

Good Evening Readers, MicSmitty here. I had a bit of an adventure tonight, and made myself a pair of Renaissance shoes. Using this wonderful tutorial I found on Pintrest - Link to Tutorial

They are super comfortable and I love them. you might be able to notice that I used two different kind of strings to tie them up, that's only cause I ran out of leather threading. Hopefully Ill get to wear them out soon.

Good Evening Reader, 

    My name is Michelle, the MicSmitty of this here Blog. I will admit that I have started a few blogs before but I have a tendency to forget about them. This time I am working this blog with my Best Friend Mim, so hopefully that will keep me on track.

    So here's a couple things about me to feed your interest.

I am an amateur photographer, artist, crafter, writer, among many other things.

I can be a bit of a nerd, I love renaissance fairs, Comic Con and everything that has anything to do with them. I made a Satyr costume for the faire this year seen to the right.   -----------------------------> 

(I am still making improvements though)

    I love all animals, but I have a soft spot for Cats, and always have at least one kitten around, people like to drop them off at my house. I have raised quite a few with eye droppers and quite a bit of patience. :) I have one curled up on my lap as I type this. 

Anyways that's a little bit about me to get us all started.
